DP402W Virtual Vintage BluesDP402W Virtual Vintage Blues

What do you need in order to play blues with a Strat®? The Virtual Vintage® Blues has more power and warmth than a typical single-coil. You can really hear these qualities when you’re playing the Virtual Vintage® 2.1. It withstands hard picking and opens up when you’re playing with an overdriven amp. Instead of shrinking away, the sound jumps out of the speakers. These qualities are really useful for getting a fat neck position sound, but they’re outstanding for the bridge position - particularly if you have a thin-sounding guitar or use light-gauge strings. It’s a tough-sounding bridge pickup with warmer guitars, and makes a good neck and middle choice to match with a full-size bridge humbucker. As the rest of the Virtual Vintage® family, it’s dead quiet; there’s practically no hum at all.
Recommended for all positions

Classification = Hum cancelling.

Price: £69.95

DP408SP Virtual Vintage '54 ProDP408SP Virtual Vintage '54 Pro

The Virtual Vintage® ’54 Pro uses the same ground breaking technology as the Area ’58 and Area ’61 pickups. The ’54 Pro replaces the Virtual Vintage '54 and VirtuAL 2® middle pickups. It has a warm, smoky sound, fattens up when you pick hard, and has a special grade of Alnico 2 magnet to reduce string pull. And like all of the Virtual Vintage® models, it’s dead quiet.
Recommended for all positions.

Classification = Hum cancelling.

Price: £69.95

DP420SP Virtual SoloDP420SP Virtual Solo

DiMarzio has combined the best qualities of the Virtual Vintage Solo® and Solo Pro® - high output and a full, warm sound - and pushed these qualities even further. Treble response is smoother, the lows are tighter, and there is more pick attack. Play hard, and the sound jumps out of the amp. Play softer, and the sound becomes cleaner and quieter. It performs equally well with both clean and heavily overdriven amps. And of course, there's no hum. It pairs very well with the Virtual Vintage Blues pickup.
Recommended for bridge position

Classification = Hum cancelling. Wiring = 4 conductor

DP415SP Area 58DP415SP Area 58

There are two major differences between a great vintage Strat® pickup and an average one: treble response and dynamics. A great pickup is clear and bright, but not thin-sounding. A great one makes the sound jump out of the amp when you pick hard and drop way down when you play softly, and the tone varies when the string is picked at different spots. The best pickup we’ve ever heard like this was from 1958, and that’s what inspired the Area ’58, with two major differences. Our pickup has way less magnet pull, and virtually no hum.
Recommended for neck & middle but can also be used in bridge position

Classification = Hum cancelling.

DP116BK HS-2DP116BK HS-2

The HS-2™ has history behind it. It was the first humbucking Strat® replacement pickup DiMarzio made, in the early 1980s. Since then, it's become popular for two distinct qualities: in humbucking mode, it's got a solid, natural sound that's cleaner and brighter than a conventional humbucker, while single-coil mode creates one of the best vintage tones around. Because of its patented design, single-coil mode is not as noisy as a standard single-coil pickup. Taken together with the dead-quiet humbucking mode, this is an excellent pickup to use with rack systems and high-gain amps.
Recommended for all positions.
In the classic Strat configuration, the HS-2™ works in all 3 positions. It can also be part of a mixed set with the HS-3™ and YJM™ models. The HS-2™ also works in H-S-H combinations, recommended with PAF Pro®, Fred®, Air Classic™ and Humbucker From Hell® in neck and bridge positions.

Classification = Stacked humbucker. Wiring = 4 conductor.

Price: £69.95

DP181BK Fast Track 1DP181BK Fast Track 1

The Fast Track 1™ is hotter and more muscular than The Cruiser®, but it's still very bright and clean sounding - not at all like a full-size humbucker. The dual-blade continuous magnetic field creates an even string balance with very little magnet-pull, eliminating the "out-of-tuneness" common to rod-magnet designs. The Fast Track 1™ pickup's power (double the output of a standard single-coil) makes it highly recommended in combination with medium-to-hot full-size humbuckers. You can also put a whole set of Fast Track 1™ pickups in a Strat®-style guitar, or create custom sets with The Cruiser®, The Chopper™ and Pro Track™.
Recommended for all basic Strat-type replacement situations. The dual radiused blade polepieces will handle all string-spacing requirements, and the magnetic field creates a very even string-to-string balance.
Also combines well with bridge humbuckers such as PAF®, PAF Pro®, Fred®, Air Classic™, Air Zone™, Norton®, and Tone Zone®

Classification = Humbucker. Wiring = 4 conductor.

Price: £74.95

DP184BK ChopperDP184BK Chopper

The Chopper™ is the louder, punchier brother of the FastTrack 1™. More power is concentrated in the mids and low end for a bigger sound with more crunch. It shares the same side-by-side coils and twin-blade construction as the Fast Track 1™, so there are no misaligned poles or string-pull problems. DiMarzio originally designed it as a bridge pickup to combine with The Cruiser™ and Fast Track 1™, but it’s also a good neck pickup when you’ve got a hot humbucker in the bridge position.
Recommended for all positions

Classification = Humbucker. Wiring = 4 conductor.

DP189W Tone Zone SDP189W Tone Zone S

The Tone Zone S™ brings the performance of the famous Tone Zone T™ to a humbucking Strat® replacement pickup. DiMarzio has built in the tremendous mid-range and bass response of the original Tone Zone®, and the same patented dual-resonance design produces great harmonics. DiMarzio also took into account the likelihood of installing The Tone Zone S™ in the classic slanted Strat® bridge position, warming up the higher frequencies and brightening the low notes a little. It has 4-conductor wiring for parallel humbucking and split-coil modes, and makes a great bridge position combination with the Pro Track™, Chopper™ and Fast Track 1™.
Recommended for bridge position, solid body guitars. or neck position when a very warm jazz guitar sound is required.

Classification = Humbucker. Wiring = 4 conductor.

Price: £74.95

DP170SP Blue Velvet SpecialDP170SP Blue Velvet Special

There's something mysterious about the sound of a great old Strat® pickup. It has 60-cycle hum, and magnet-pull can be a problem, but the way notes jump out of the amp and then sustain is so appealing that thousands of players won't do it any other way. DiMarzio wanted to capture the qualities everyone loves about the originals, but they wanted a few other things, too. Most players use a plain "G" string (regardless of gauge), so DiMarzio developed a magnet stagger balanced to match today's string sets. The coil is also insulated from the magnets so the pickup can't short out, and the Blue Velvet™ can be safely phase-reversed. Has the original sound been lost? There's no mystery about it: the Blue Velvet™ still sounds great. The Class of '55™ is the choice for clean country sound, but the Blue Velvet™ is the first choice for blues.
Recommended for all positions, but particularly recommended for neck and middle positions on rosewood fingerboard guitars.

Classification = Standard Strat. Wiring = 2 conductor.

Price: £49.95
